ILLUSTRATION
/// MULTI MEDIA
I have loved to draw for as long as I can remember. From my assortment of sketchbooks to endless procreate files, I find that I have a lot of miscellaneous work I wish to share.
ANALOG COLLAGE
The collages above are highlights from the book I designed about the band Kraftwerk. They are inspired by the Dada art movement and were cut and collaged by hand. I scanned in the compiled compositions to utilize them in InDesign for my book. Although I love how they appear in the project I also enjoy these images as stand-alone art pieces.
EMBROIDERY
These patches were embroidered by hand as a part of my Fibers & Material Studies final project. I drew onto the fabric freehand and went over the designs with a needle and string. The illustrated characters are inspired by drawings from my sketchbooks.
ROME SKETCHBOOK
This series of illustrations are from my 2019 sketchbook when I studied abroad in Rome, Italy. The city was filled with monstrous statues and ornament architecture that I was drawn to draw. In addition to gazing at the art, I also loved going to the wet markets. I was able to draw animals up close and personal. When I wasnāt working on my sketchbook I was making paper, linoleum carvings, and collaging. Sketching and painting with ink was also something I cultivated while abroad.
PROCREATE
Drawling these fun digital doodles is my favorite thing when Iām listening to a good audiobook. I love to mess around with the symmetry tool and just see what my subconscious creates.
