WAVEFORM AWARDS
I noticed that the podcasting community had an award show-shaped hole in their hearts that was waiting to be filled with a fun and quirky event. This branding project features both analog and vector image-making in addition to an augmented reality Instagram filter.
CONCEPT
The concept for this project was to brand a non-existent quirky yet casual award show for podcasts using a series of illustrative, fun, and original assets. I wanted to use my favorite illustration style at the time, collage, to create humorous and original characters. I also set out to make a responsive logo that is just as unique.

CHALLENGE
A challenge while designing this project was to fabricate a brand without a specific prompt. I had to balance conceptual and realistic ideas and goals to keep everything on track. It was also imperative that I maintain consistency throughout the branding, illustrations, and collateral for the desired outcome.
PROCESS
Collaged images were cut out by hand and scanned in various compositions. The iconic mouth and ear collages are seen battling it out, podcast style. Vector designs include a responsive logo, waveform pattern, and experimental type. Augmented reality filters were made in SparkAR.
