The 9th House Podcast is my platform to explore and share my more esoteric interests including astrology, divination, channeling, and alchemy. The structure consists of multiple segments that aim to aid the listener in their current spiritual journey.
Before recording each episode I spend at least an hour preparing my notes, pulling my cards, and grounding myself. All the cards I pull for these readings are done the same day that I record.
I started reading tarot cards over four years ago, mainly pulling for myself and very close friends. As my interest grew I consumed multiple books and lectures about the subject as well as getting readings done by other oracles.
I am deeply fascinated by the history of tarot and how it began simply as a game, Teroki. In the podcast I use the classic Rider-Waite deck, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith, and I use it for the weekly 3 card readings. I chose to do my 3 card spreads for body, mind, and soul because I intuitively felt that it would resonate with my collective. And, of course, I enjoy reading them. As a yoga teacher I aim to yoke, or unite, the body, mind, and soul.
My intention with this podcast is to share what I’ve learned, inspire others to pursue spiritual tools and wisdom, as well as connect with individuals who resonate with my content. I have a discord for those who are interested in connecting with me further. Just email or DM me for the link.
Why the name?
The 9th House in astrology rules higher learning, teachers and guides, philosophy, spiritual practices like divination, astrology itself, as well as curiosity about the meaning of life.
In my birth chart I have both my sun and mercury placed in my 9th house. The sun rules my destiny/dharma and mercury is the planet of communication. These two placements contribute heavily to how and what I desire to communicate with the world.
The 9th House is the perfect name to communicate the essence of this podcast. Practitioners who get it, get it. Those who find it “woo”, maybe it’s not yet for you.
